Dickinson has been educating and inspiring global leaders since 1783.
OUR APPROACH INFUSES INTERCULTURAL AND GLOBAL EXPERIENCES AND LEARNING INTO EVERY CORNER OF CAMPUS, AND WE EXTEND THOSE ELEMENTS INTO OUR 16 DICKINSON-IN PROGRAMS ABROAD.
Dickinson offers semester and year-long study-abroad options in over 30 countries, including Dickinson-run global programs in 15 countries and over 30 partner programs. Students also participate in short-term, faculty-led programs such as summer programs or Global Mosaics and Globally Integrated which are connected to semester long courses. With Dickinson students hailing from over 45 countries and international students making up 11% of the student body, it is common to hear multiple languages spoken around campus. Our globally focused curriculum is enhanced outside the classroom with the presence of numerous international clubs and organizations infusing a global perspective into everything we do and throughout our community. Dickinson is committed to building just, inclusive, and sustainable communities on campus, in Carlisle and around the globe.
Don't just take our word for it. Dickinson is the only institution to win the NAFSA Paul Simon Comprehensive Internationalization Award twice (2003 & 2019) and was awarded the Forum on Education Abroad 2022 Award for Advancing the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals through Education Abroad.
