CWRU Art Gallery Show Fetes Its Black Alumni

Case Western Reserve University’s Art Studio Gallery (2215 Adelbert Road) is celebrating Black History Month by celebrating some of its own African-American alumni.

Its new exhibition, opening with a reception Sat 2/8 @ 5-8pm will feature painting, drawing, photography, textiles and masks by art education alums Anna Arnold (pictured), Gina Brent, Danny Carver, Napoleon Dismuke, Sandra Noble, Georgio Sabino, Jermone White, Tucker White and Travis Williams

A companion exhibit at the gallery will feature painting, sculpture, textiles, masks, musical instruments and artifacts from the West African art collection of art education/art studio Tim Shukerow, including work by Nigerian storyteller/artist Bodunde Motoni and textile artist Grace Motoni.

The show will be on view through Fri 3/6.
