Deadline Extensions
UIC extending first-year acceptance deadline to June 1 amid financial aid delays
- Due to federal processing delays, financial aid notifications for admitted students are not expected to be available until late April and early May.
- Consequently, UIC has extended the deadline for admitted first-year students to accept their offer of admission to June 1. This extension aims to provide time to review financial aid notifications before making enrollment decisions.

The First Year Application for Fall 2024 has closed.
- Many programs are at capacity, but a petition for a late application may be submitted at this link.
The Transfer Application deadline for Fall 2024 is April 1, 2024.
Test-Optional Choice for First Year Applicants
We do not require standardized tests and are a test-optional institution. More information about our application process is available on our First Year admissions requirements and Test Optional FAQ pages.
Application Credentials Submission
- Please send all required application credentials electronically when possible, we accept paper mail but the quickest method is by taking advantage of electronic transcript services where available.
- If you are unable to secure electronic transcripts and have requested official documents to be sent to us by mail, you can upload unofficial copies of your transcripts to your application status portal. If you are offered admission, we will require official transcripts prior to enrollment.
