Introduction to Cybersecurity (Virtual Sample Class)

Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 7:00 PM until 8:00 PMEastern Standard Time UTC -05:00

In recent years, headlines about cybersecurity have become increasingly common. Most cyberattacks are caused by the mistakes in programs, so understanding how programs can become vulnerable and how the mistakes can be exploited is important for defending against cyberattacks. In this lecture, we will describe a few common mistakes in programs, demonstrate the attacks on these vulnerable programs, and then show how to defend against such attacks. The professor will be Dr. Wenliang (Kevin) Du, who is a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). Following the class portion, Dr. Du will be available to answer questions about EECS programs. We will encourage you to enable your audio and video to engage with us and ask questions.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
