DEGREE PROGRAMS All students admitted to the Trulaske College of Business are considered undeclared business or accountancy until they apply to the Upper Level program of their choice (BS BA or BS Acc/M Acc). Students interested in the BS BA program will typically apply to the Upper Level second semester of their sophomore year or first semester of their junior year. Those interested in the BS Acc/M Acc degrees will apply second semester of their sophomore year. To be eligible to apply to the Upper Level, students must meet the requirements outlined below.

Finance students have the option to add a Real Estate emphasis. • The program is 120 credit hours.

To apply to the Upper Level BS BA degree program at the Trulaske College of Business, students must have completed a minimum of 45 semester hours, but no more than 60 semester hours, of college-level credit. A 2.6 GPA of record at the time of application is required (but does NOT guarantee admission) along with the following courses completed or in progress:

Extracurricular experiences can help you practice and improve upon the skills you develop in your classes. The Trulaske College of Business provides many opportunities for you to get involved and take on leadership roles in the college.

BUSINESS COMPETITIONS Competitions allow students to demonstrate their professional skills. The college hosts a variety of case competitions each year for students from all business disciplines.

CORNELL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM Leadership development and honors level experiences for students who have achieved high levels of success academically and as leaders

ENTREPRENEURSHIP ALLIANCE Our hands-on talent incubator teaches students the skills and mindset they need to understand what it takes to grow a business or develop a product.

STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS There are more than 20 sponsored organizations in the Trulaske College of Business, including honor societies, business fraternities and professional organizations. These groups engage students in collaboration and provide a wide range of professional development opportunities. Trulaske features the Professional Edge, a unique program that readies business students for their careers. Since its inception, the Professional EDGE has been responsible for an exponential increase in student placement, WITH JOB RATES EXCEEDING 90 PERCENT AFTER GRADUATION.

THE PROFESSIONAL EDGE is how we practice the

Missouri Method. Our career readiness program features three main parts: • You’ll develop professional competencies through four Business Administration courses (BA1500, BA2500, BA3500 and BA4500)

• Professional development workshops and experiences will build your skills beyond the classroom. You will work toward earning 70 points for Upper Level and 200 points to graduate. LAND YOUR BUSINESS CAREER SERVICES (BCS) in the Trulaske College of

Business has a staff dedicated to helping you find a career that meets your goals. From the beginning of your time in the college, you can work on developing your rĂŠsumĂŠ and interviewing skills. BCS will also help you meet with potential employers through on-campus interviews, career fairs and an online database. We offer a variety of opportunities to take business courses in destinations such as China, Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic. Experience with a foreign language is not required; all courses are taught in English. Students can go abroad for two to three weeks during winter break or for a month during the summer. Additional opportunities for study abroad, including semester and year-long programs, are available through MU’s International Center. 11

Many scholarships are selected by the undergraduate programs committee consisting of the assistant dean of undergraduate programs, scholarship coordinator, and one faculty member from each of the different Trulaske College of Business departments. The majority of the scholarships available are endowed scholarship funds. A gift from a company or donor is generously made to the college and the interest earned from the gift funds the scholarship. Not every scholarship is awarded every year or in the same amounts. Donors often define the requirements of their scholarship. Most Trulaske College of Business scholarships use the general MU Annual Scholarship application to determine their recipients.
