Ready to apply to Whittier College? Join us for a series of virtual events designed to help you and your family with the college application process.


These events will
 prepare you with all the tools you need to have a successful senior year and have an outstanding application. We encourage you to attend all the events! All events are held virtually on Thursdays at 4 PM PDT. Each event description is listed below: 

Financial Aid Workshop: How to Pay for College

Nov. 19
The prospect of paying for college can certainly be daunting. Our Financial Aid and Admissions teams are here to answer your questions and assist you with that process. Please join us for a presentation about how to qualify for the scholarships and need-based aid that will make paying for a college education as affordable as possible.

Applying to Whittier College Through the Common Application

Dec. 3
Applying for college can be a little overwhelming with the many types of applications out there. As a Common Application School, we will walk you through all the parts of the application. The Common Application is a platform that makes it easy to apply to one or many schools. During this presentation, we will show you examples from last year of what makes outstanding applications. 

Personal Statement Workshop

Jan. 7
Come learn how to make your college essay the best it can be! During this online workshop, we will go over details that our admissions team looks for in an application, as well as the do's and don'ts of writing a personal statement. Through examples, tips, and discussion, you'll be ready to write an excellent, one of a kind essay to use in your college search process.

Student Panels 

Dec. 10 (What I wish I knew when applying)
Nov. 12 & Jan. 21 (Life as a Poet)
These panels will discuss what current students wish they knew when applying to college while the other will focus on life as a Poet and the different opportunities available on-campus and remotely. Meet a wonderful group of current students who will participate in the Q&A.

Faculty Panel 

Jan. 14
These panels will cover the broad academic offerings and the First Year experiences in advising, selecting your courses and exploring opportunities to self-design your major. Meet a sampling of faculty who will participate in Q&A.
