Patsy Rausch

Patsy Rausch is a visual arts teacher at Kincaid Elementary in Cobb County, Georgia. Patsy trains educators to incorporate a portable papermaking studio into their school's curriculum as an Arts Integration Incentive. She has presented and workshopped at GAEA, Cobb County Outreach Communities, The Robert C. Williams Paper Museum at Georgia Tech, and Marietta Cobb Museum of Art, collaborating with Master Papermaker Drew Matott, founder of Peace Paper Project. Her Transformative Art Papermaking workshops have encompassed post-COVID trauma in children, addiction recovery workshops, women empowerment workshops, and the LGBTQAI+ community. "Populations affected by trauma desire a safe and creative space for cultural camaraderie with an opportunity to process emotion through art-making, empathy, and representational rehabilitation. Always grateful to facilitate fellowship in these communities and humbled by the courage in their journey and their willingness to trust this element as part of their healing landscape."
