The Mount's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program readies you for the health care world of both today and tomorrow. As a BSN graduate, you qualify for the NCLEX-RN licensure examination which upon passing awards you a Public Health Nursing Certificate, a document necessary to work as a Registered Nurse in California.

NOTE: This information is intended for students transferring from community colleges or other four-year institutions. If you are a high school student interested in pursuing our BS in Nursing program, you must apply as a first-year student as a Pre-Nursing major.

We are no longer accepting BSN applications for Fall 2024. If you are interested in applying as a transfer student for our Pre-Nursing programs, you can still submit your application to begin this fall. Apply for Pre-Nursing

Due to high demand for this program, admission is highly selective. A number of students may be placed on a waitlist.

  • If selected for the waitlist, it will be for the term for which you have applied.
  • Applicants will be moved from the waitlist to admit status by the BSN department if space becomes available for the term for which you have applied.
  • Applicants will be notified when the waitlist is closed.
  • Applicants not removed from the waitlist after the closing of the cohort are welcome to reapply to the BSN program for a future term.
  • Formerly waitlisted applicants will not be offered priority consideration for future file reviews.
Our BSN degree program combines traditional classroom curricula with clinical rotation experience. You’ll be on the job, in nursing environments, as soon as your sophomore year. Learn more about the BSN program curriculum, faculty and outcomes. BSN Program
