Finances

There are many sources of financial aid available to help you cover the costs of your U of T Engineering education — from government aid and scholarships to U of T grants. If you have questions about scholarships or financial aid, please contact Pierina Filippone, Assistant Registrar, Scholarships & Financial Aid at awards@engineering.utoronto.ca.

Tuition

UTAPS Financial Aid Program

The U of T Advance Planning for Students (UTAPS) financial aid program fills the financial gap for full-time students who receive the maximum amount of government financial aid available, but whose government funding and other assessed financial resources do not cover all assessed university costs. U of T provides assistance in the form of non-repayable grants through UTAPS.

Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)

If you are required to provide proof of your enrolment to your RESP company, please visit Self-Serve Letters in the Engineering Portal. Proof of enrolment letters will not be available until mid-July.

Note that you may be required to activate your UTORid to access the Engineering Portal.

Grants

If you have exhausted all your financial resources and avenues for assistance (including OSAP, UTAPS, bank loans and family) and still find yourself in financial need, you can apply for undergraduate grants. The grant application will be available in ACORN on October 1, 2023.
